Krishna is the author of Thinking Through Gandhi: Gandhi's Ideas and How They Can Still Inspire. She is interested in reinvigorating a conversation about how the principles of ahimsa (nonviolence), satya (truth), and satyagraha (insistence on truth) can be applied in daily living. Realizing that many of Gandhi's principles of non-violent civil-disobedience are often thought of as political tools, Krishna sought to excavate the personal meanings and implications of these principles. What does a genuine non-violent lifestyle look like? How can we utilize the methods of nonviolence and satyagraha in our quotidian living? "Thinking Through Gandhi" is motivated by the conviction in the necessity of nonviolent principles to permeate all layers of personal living before they can change our communities.
